Year over year, imports of pumpkins flatlined via a -0.5% slowdown compared to $1.73 billion starting from 2022.
The top 5 imported pumpkin buyers are the United States of America and 4 major European importers namely France, Germany, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Collectively, that quintet of leading pumpkin markets generated 62.2% of total pumpkins imported in 2023.
From a continental perspective, importers in European countries bought approaching three-fifths (56.5%) of spending on imported pumpkins during 2023 with purchases totaling $969.1 million. In second place were importers located in North America at 33.1% while 9.7% of pumpkins imported worldwide was delivered to customers in Asia.
Tinier percentages arrived in Africa (031%), Latin America (0.28%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, and Oceania (0.16%) led by New Zealand.
